I got this for my birthday last year, and I use all the time- for all from breads, pizza dough and cookies to cakes, frostings, fillings and whipped cream. It has endless possibilities! The 5-quart seems to be big adequate for my use. I can't dream having a bigger one as this one is so powerful! I never use the pouring shield though, as it seems to be more of a nuisance than a help. The nickel color looks great with stainless steel appliances. It is worth the money. I got the ice cream maker attachment which is fun too, though I do not use it very often.
